Animal Embodiment in VR

This project is not currently recruiting participants

Study description

We are conducting a research project exploring the effects of script writing to build a narrative for animal embodiment in VR. This study has received Deakin University ethics approval (reference number: ‘SEBE-2020-28’).

We are looking for participants who has background or understanding of VR development to evaluate the effectiveness of the development of a script and a virtual reality experience (captured as 360 videos or installed on Oculus Quest through SideQuest). If you are interested, you will be asked to complete an online survey that includes a script reading and watching a 5-minute VR video OR trying the VR experience of a frog stepping through a forest in Oculus Quest, and answering questions about your experience with the script and the video.

Participation is voluntary. If you are interested, please access the survey through here: https://researchsurveys.deakin.edu.au/jfe/form/SV_3pEZ1MOiBMFb6e1

The survey can be completed WITHOUT VR as there’s a 360 video option.

If you have any question, please contact Dr Thuong Hoang at thuong.hoang@deakin.edu.au with subject title: Embodiment Study Interest for further information.
