Study description

This study can be participated in immediately and asynchronously by visiting the link at the bottom of this page. It takes 5-10 minutes to complete, with results being submitted to a server at the end of the process.

The study takes place in a WebXR environment, immediately accessible via a web browser.

In this study, you will be completing a simple search task with four different VR user interfaces. You will then be asked a few questions about your experience with each one. Additionally, various metrics will be recorded from your participation, such as the number of button presses and distance moved.

You must demonstrate your consent by reading and agreeing to the terms presented on the study landing page before you can participate. No data will be submitted unless you press “submit” at the end of the participation process. No personal information is collected other than answers you give to questionnaire questions (age, VR headset used, level of VR experience), all of which are optional.

Participant requirements

Participants must have access to a 6DoF VR headset, and a web broswer capable of loading WebXR content.

For example, a PC-powered VR headset and web browser.

Standalone headsets capable of loading WebXR content (such as the Oculus Quest 2) can also be used to participate without a PC.
